The Slashtones turn Thirteen today.
Last year was a very interesting one for us. We recorded a bunch of great tunes, played some kick-ass shows, and I did and didn't break up the band again for the 12th year in a row.
This next year promises to be just as interesting. Our version of G-N-R's "Pretty Tied Up" is being released next month. We're doing our annual guest spot on the "Joey Ramone Birthday Bash" at Irving Plaza, NYC on Mat 19th and may actually perform a few more shows after that. We also have a ton of cool recording projects ahead, most of which will be released before the year is over, including plans to revisit songs from the "Bingo Hall" era. (More on that forthcoming.)
Trumpet player Mike Lewis and vocalist Pam Purple entered the Slashtones mythology during the last year when they recorded on "Jest A Gigolo" with us. This year promises to see many new talented musicians enter Slashland and there's a slight chance that some old band members may be coming back into the fold. (More on that forthcoming.)
I would like to thank everyone that supported us over the past 13 year, through tick and thin, through the good times and the bad times and all the other times in-between.
