Slashland News & Notes

The Slashtones are on a bit of a hiatus from their group projects for the time being. The band recently completed recording "Just a Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody", the David Lee Roth cover of the Louis Prima classic for Versailles Records' David Lee Roth tribute CD due out November 22nd, 2005. The song will also be featured on a future Harry Slash - Arno Hecht project.

Slashtones' bassist Tony Moore and his wife Ann ran in the New York Marathon on Sunday November 6th, 2005. Rumors that Tony and Ann had Vodka in their water bottles have not been confirmed.

Harry Slash and former Slashtone and founding band member Even Steven will be teaming up to produce a Rap / Hip-Hop project based on the goings on in the pro wrestling world. The lyrics, written by Harry Slash, are based on events and conversations with various people in the pro and Indy wrestling circuit. The main artists for this project have not been chosen yet as this will be more of a "Rap Opera" and not a featured act. Even Steven has produced rap artists "Gun Hill" and others.

Slashtones' guitarist Roderick Kohn will be performing several shows in the New York area with "Purple Pam". The band features vocalist Pam Purple, who does a guest spot on The Slashtones version of "Just a Gigolo / I Ain't Got Nobody", For more info visit www.PurplePam.com.

The Slashtones' brother band, Reckless Fortune, are nearing completion of their second album and will be scheduling some shows to debut the new material.

Harry Slash has begun writing a "tell all" book about his days in Extreme Championship Wrestling. Harry plans to give details about several never before revealed events and incidents in ECW, including the full story of WWE's involvment, but has no plans to release the book until seven years after the last felony that will be written about was committed. (The Statute Of Limitations thing...) Look for the book sometime in 2008 or 2009.
